Hello and welcome to ‘Can Do’ Business Tutor.

I have been asked many times during my teaching career if I would tutor students and bar helping friends children revise for their GCSE English Literature exams, I have always declined.  However, having my eldest child sit his GCSEs this summer, I have seen how powerful a subject specialist tutor can be in building confidence and attainment in a young person. In my own teaching, I have seen the rapid progress students can make with a little one to one or small group tuition and this has prompted me to launch ‘Can Do’ Business tuition.

I have been an A Level Business and Finance teacher and examiner for the last 12 years and prior to this, I spent a decade working in industry, across the FMCG and IT sectors.  More recently, I have been a Careers Leader in a high performing grammar school which enabled me to combine my love of the world of business with raising the aspirations of the students in my care. I have examined for AQA A Level Business and Eduqas A Level Business and so all of my sessions have a real focus on developing the skills you need to ensure you access the highest possible grades.

I run one to one and small group tuition sessions.  If you are looking for more intensive tuition, then I hold Christmas and Easter in-person and virtual revision sessions.  Each session is designed to meet the needs of my students and is bespoke to that student/group. It is never too early to start tuition, in fact, the sooner we begin working together, the more progress that can be made.

Given my Careers Leader background, I am also available to discuss next steps/career options and facilitate practice interviews. Alongside my PGCE, MA in Education, L7 Careers Leader qualifications, I have recently completed my TEFL qualification so am able to tutor students for whom English is an additional language. I am GDPR compliant and DBS checked.

I am also available to corporate clients and have delivered a wide range of workshops to businesses in the public and private sector. I can curate a bespoke session to your organisations requirements.
